Essential Reading for Parents

MUST
READ

Gifted Grownups — Marylou Kelly Streznewski

The book that named everything for our founder at age 47. Written for gifted adults reflecting on childhood, but essential reading for parents of gifted children. Gives you the emotional vocabulary that no clinical text provides.

HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED

A Parent's Guide to Gifted Children — Webb, Gore, Amend, DeVries

The most comprehensive practical guide available. Covers intensity, perfectionism, peer relationships, school advocacy, underachievement, and twice-exceptionality. Western in context but the observations translate well to Indian families.

HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED

Emotional Intensity in Gifted Students — Christine Fonseca

Specifically addresses the emotional and intensity profile of gifted children — the meltdowns, the perfectionism, the sensitivity, the social difficulty. Practical strategies, not just theory.
